Background

Attorney T. Seth Koches joined Bauckham Thall in 2015 after serving as a prosecutor for Kalamazoo and Oakland Counties. He has extensive experience in Michigan’s district, circuit and probate courts.

Seth’s practice focuses on a wide range of municipal matters including criminal prosecution, ordinance enforcement, general zoning, and land use. Seth has extensive experience in civil litigation, contract review, conditional transfer of property agreements, annexation and installment purchase agreements. Seth also defends municipalities against civil rights complaints. His broad range of municipal work also includes reviewing contacts, ordinance drafting, and attending municipal Board meetings, Planning Commission and ZBA meetings.

Seth has lectured for the MTA as well as at our municipal client conferences. He is a contributor to the publication Planning & Zoning News. In addition to his law degree from Cooley Law, Seth attended Misericordia University and earned an MBA from Wilkes University.
