Associate Seth Koches joined Bauckham Sparks in 2015 after serving as an attorney in the prosecutor's offices for Kalamazoo and Oakland Counties. He has extensive experience in Michigan's district, circuit and probate courts.
In addition to his law degree from Cooley Law, Seth attended Misericordia University and earned an MBA from Wilkes University. He lives in Kalamazoo with his wife, Aubrey. They both love traveling and exploring the great outdoors in Northern Michigan and along the Lake Michigan coastline. Seth is also a long-time runner, with over half a dozen marathons under his belt.
Seth's emphasis is prosecuting ordinance and zoning enforcement cases. He also contributes to Michigan Tax Tribunal appeals and amicus briefs before the Michigan Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court. His broad range of work in the municipal arena includes drafting Act 99 agreements and other contracts, and attending Board, Planning Commission and ZBA meetings.
Seth has lectured for the Michigan Townships Association as well as at our municipal client conferences. He is a contributor to the publication Planning & Zoning News.
