Jacob Eccleston joined Bauckham Sparks as an Associate Attorney after graduating from law school. He works with both urban and rural townships on a variety of municipal law issues and is a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the State of Michigan and Kalamazoo County Bar Associations.
In addition to his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, Jacob attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids. He and his wife Anna live in Kalamazoo County and are expecting their first child. They are avid travelers and enjoy skiing, hiking, and canoeing in their free time.
Jacob has a broad range within the municipal practice and does everything from contract review and drafting, to employment related matters, and ordinance review and drafting. He provides advice to many clients with Open Meetings Act and Freedom of Information Act concerns and questions. He also assists with large research projects, as well as prosecuting ordinance enforcement cases.
Jacob contributes to Michigan Townships Association publications, as well as Planning and Zoning News publications.
